Lovely collection! Such a wide and thoughtful variety of topics, styles and voices. There's a mix of well-know yogis and poets from all over the world. This is an important book!
This collection formed a long-needed bridge between my passions for poetry & Yoga and my parents. While my parents were visiting, I showed them the book. To my surprise and delight my mother, who loves neither poetry nor Yoga, began flipping through it, reading some of the poems aloud, and commenting on how lovely, clear and touching they were. Finally, something accessible to broader audiences! Thank you, contributors and Hawah, for opening some doors for me and my family.
When you're a child and read Dr. Seuss, poetry becomes part of the childhood landscape. This is a playful, contemplative, whimsical, serious gateway back to that place. Rhyme or not, long or short, this collection of poems skewers the heart and spirit with a joyful edge. It's a must-have for any library! Thank you, HawaH for your vision!
