When Ember moved to New York City from a small town in Maryland, she had no idea what to expect. She'd heard plenty of horror stories about the freaks and thugs, but she was determined to make it on her own.
Ember opens The Mythos, a bar that ends up thriving on New York nightlife. To help her out, she hires a group of girls who turn out to be her closest friends as the busy days and successful nights go by.
After a while, she meets Riley. Ember's business has kept her well away from the dating scene, but Riley is too mysterious to resist. When she finds out his secrets, it's too late for her to turn back.
