Flash fiction written by contributors of the web magazine, HeavyGlow Journal of Flash Fiction. This book holds an eclectic amalgamate of sadness, death, surrealism, joy and humor. Often lyrical in style, these worlds of 750 words or less will introduce their readers to exquisite extremes and leave them wanting more. EXCERPT (Words and Pictures by Bill West): He handed out pieces of thick card, one side black, the other side white. He said, "There are no lines in nature, just substance and shadows. Take your stylus and scrape away the black. Show me the picture hidden behind the black ink." I scraped away the black leaving Tom's nose, his brow and the tiny commas of his eyes. I scraped and scraped, but when Mr Miller stopped beside my desk and looked at my picture, there was nothing left, just a white piece of card and curls of ink, like black ash.

"HeavyGlow" HeavyGlow are honest, creative, caring people who publish wonderful flash fiction online. This is their first paperback collection. The book is stylish, with an eye-friendly layout. While the stories may range in style, content or theme, they remain constant in their quality. This is a strong collection, and I am happy and honoured to be included.
"HeavyGlow" I was absolutely amazed with the originality and diversity of these little treasures, and how something so short could express so much. They’re like these postcard impressions of significant moments in our lives - heartbreaking and soul searching, overwhelming and stunning. I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster. Kudos to these exceptional authors for introducing me to a new passion. Highly recommended.
