This is a guide to the "3 Collectors" exhibition at York Art Gallery (1 Sep 2009 - 9 May 2010).
York’s collection of British studio pottery was bought together through the generous gifts of three important collectors, each with different tastes and interests in pottery and this exhibition celebrates their achievements and rich legacy they have left.
York’s collection includes pots from the beginnings of the British studio pottery movement right up to the present day and is one of the largest and most important collections in the UK, containing over 4,000 pieces.
This guide contains images of all the pots in the exhibition and also lists all the maker's who have work in in the collection of York Museums Trust.
