It is perhaps a novel, or Henry's autobiography, or a management handbook; or nothing more than the artistic figment of a schizophrenic mind. You'll decide. Anyway, it's great fun; sometimes even hilarious. Henry shares in this book his corporate life story; from kindergarten to the boardroom. He has been successfully climbing the corporate ladder and has -just like you, seen it all. Virtual teams, six sigma, the paradigm shift, the RACI model, etc. Henry has seen great leaders, interesting characters, dodgy consultants, violent union leaders, fraudulent managers; you’ll meet them all in this novel. He’s also happy to share with you his awkward business travel stories. Including imprisonment in Athens, hookers in Kiev and delayed BA flights. OK, that’s nothing special. Later in his career -here it gets a bit thought provoking, Henry starts reflecting. Just like you do; isn’t it?
I bought it for my boss for the holidays. He came to tell me he loves it; especially the chapter on 'travels to Kiev'. But also tells me he'll be 'racing' a bit less. I really really really hope he does :) although he wants that sales report finished today before I go home :(
