"For one's ever-changing moods..." The title of this book is called 'MoodSwings: A collection of poetry'. I think 'montage'would be a better choice of word than 'collection' cause the book itself is made up of assortments of various mood poems neatly divided into categories for the readers preference.Upon reading this work one of the things that struck me was the mature command of language the author has. Phrases like "Sunlight bathes her", and "Your barbed words" shows to me that this author is not afraid to experiment to achieve a desired effect on the readers imagination. The author further uses this style to better personify things such as a cat in the poem 'Perverse Cat' and even a philosophical dragon ("I'll believe in you...if you'll believe in me.") in the rather fun-to-read poem 'Dancing Dragon'. Fewer places, though, are words better executed than in the poem 'My Love is Like an Open Book', an original piece which is one of the best... More > metaphors or analogies of love I've read in any poetry book. But by far, in my opinion, the best poem in this work is titled 'Katie'; this is probably because it is derived from the authors personal experience. In it is the foreseeing the day when both daughter and mother have to 'let go' to continue on with lifes grandscale game. If you like a variety of poetic styles, a variety of poetic themes, and a variety of poetic MOODS, then you might want to look into this!< Less

"Re: Armadillos" Yeah, it's an interesting exercise, writing a sonnet about roadkill. :)

"Armadillos" Of the two preview poems I liked the Armadillo one best, I'm no poet but I write lyrics and this stuff is good. It kinda ryhmes but isn' t obvious. I bet nobody else on the planet wrote a poem about 2 armadillos, so that'll make it pretty unique too. Nice pic on the cover.
