Apostasy and Freedom

Apostasy and affront towards the sacred are topics which according to its special conditions, in the Islamic law are considered crimes. These culpable topics are considered in Islamic religion and its doctrine is not restricted in the individual ethics framework and some other expressions, but its domain is vast and contains different legal, ethical, political, civil, individual and social fields. On the other hand, considering that the basis of the legitimacy of the Islamic laws is the wiling of the sage legislator, the religion encourages the men to contemplation, rationalism, knowledge and cognition. Therefore, the protection of religion and the religious government is an important and significant factor in the legal, political, ethical and spiritual order, because Islam while insisting on rationalism lays stress on stability and the public discipline.
