"Damn Nice Guide" While I'm not thrilled with the layout of the book, for a desk top published booklet, it's acceptable. The content is well written with only minor grammar & spelling errors but other wise the message gets thru to you. I have collected sales, marketing, advertising, direct marketing, and so on, books over the years. I enjoy reading and learning from them and I must say, this is a pretty good book as the author touches on topics not covered in more mainstream texts. Further the philosphy of Oscar flies in the face of what the alleged pros claim(ed) but it's hard to argue with the success of a selling master who attained over 5 millon dollars in annual sales! If you sell, this should be a booklet you get to add to your reference material. Do NOT make the mistake of perusing it and merely setting it on the shelf - study it and apply it. The information may not be suitable to corporate clients but for consumer or retail sales, it is spot on. Take it from... More > a sales & marketing professional, this is a manual you'll want to sink your teeth into. Highly recommended.< Less

"Just what the doctor ordered!" This book increased my sales 500%! After learning about the practices of Oscar "Blackie" Rutstein and employing them, sales absolutely skyrocketed! This book also includes The Best Damn Glossary Of Selling Terms & The 225 Best Damn Quotes About Selling & Success which are invaluable additions to the book! The quotations alone are enough to make you want to bust out of the gate and sell, sell, sell! Howard writes,"Successful selling isn't the result of spontaneous combustion, you must set yourself on fire." This book absolutely set me on fire! It's a must have for anyone associated with sales. - William F. Raimo, Jr.
