THE BHAGAVAD GITA: Notated for Chanting in the tradition of Prof.T.Krishnamacharya

ByHoward Crosthwaite

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
In my first book, The Art of Vedic Chanting, I wrote: “Eventually, and this may take some time, it is time to move on to the chanting of the Vedic texts – the Upaniñat and perhaps in the future, the Gåtã.” It had been my ambition for some time to be able to chant the Bhagavad Gåtã and on a visit to my teacher, Radha Sundararajan, in Chennai, a few years ago, I asked her to teach me the Gåtã. It was only then that I learned that there was no printed version of a notated Gåtã. Radha’s own copy was in the Sanskrit script (Devanãgari) on which she herself had marked the notations after listening to her own teacher, TKV Desikachar. It was then that I decided to produce this book in order for others to be given the opportunity to chant this great work.
