In this outstanding 85 page, full color book, the background of L. H. Parke Company will be told by reviewing some of their products that were manufactured and packaged over 100 plus years ago. In 1888 L. H. Parke Company was established as a seller of coffee, tea and spices. This booklet shows some of their early products and the tins that held the products. The company reached a peak in the 1950s and early 1960s when it expanded to five locations - Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington, DC, Richmond and Albany, NY. In 1962 the company was sold to Consolidated Foods and merged into Monarch Foods. The Irwin family members who worked at L. H. Parke Co. were William P. M. Irwin, Samuel F. Irwin, John M. Irwin, Donald Irwin, Samuel Clement Irwin, Edwin F. Irwin, Dudley Irwin, Donald Irwin Jr., Howard A. Irwin, Edwin W. Irwin, James M. Irwin and Donald Irwin III.
