There are individuals trying to attack Soke Christa's name and business, so they try to plaster her work with negative reviews. I can honestly say that they are unfounded and the individuals never even trained at the Budo Ryu or purchased any of her books, let alone read them. The Tomo-ryu Shoden-no-maki is a great book. Complete with real ninjutsu scrolls and techniques, it really does kill the fake image of ninjutsu being some kind of magical legendary hand-to-hand fighting system. Real ninjutsu is in the strategy and tactics utilized in full-blown warfare. Soke Anshu brings us the truth in the Shoden-no-maki and it's something that should be respected and revered. If you're a student of Budo Ryu, or just at least want the truth of ninjutsu, then I highly recommend this book and any others authored by Soke Anshu.

Want a book filled with legitimate ninja knowledge? You just found it! I've been a student for about half a year now and I love everything that has to do with ninjutsu. From the games, anime, and hollywood exaggerations to the actual more down-to-earth realism that can be found in training in authentic schools such as Budo Ryu, I've loved it all since I was a kid. The skills and techniques found in this book are real and it is filled with information that every ninja enthusiast would greatly enjoy. Highly recommended!

A really good book. If you're looking for real ninjutsu then look no further. The author goes into great detail about the methods of Koga ninjutsu and I wish I had found her sooner. Filled with real scrolls and real techniques. This book is a good addition to anyone's martial art library.

You know, before coming into Budo Ryu I was told that ninjutsu had it's own hand-to-hand fighting system, since I came from the Bujinkan. I didn't exactly know to believe it or not, but when Anshu explained to me that it was actually a set of strategies and tactics instead, things started to make much more sense and... felt real. Honestly, it was all of the "take the enemy down by the pinky" crap that got me burnt out on my training in the Bujinkan. I'm glad I found Anshu and the Budo Ryu. Buy this book, it contains real ninjutsu.

I can't wait to train in the stuff that's listed in this book. Most of the information inside here isn't on my level for awhile since I'm pretty new, but it's cool to get a glimpse at what's coming. If it's anything like the knife stuff we did in my trial class, it's going to be freaking awesome!
