    The retail market has many rules (a lot, which I must admit that I forget) and this book helps to remind me how to steer clear of the trapdoors you can fall into unknowingly. I find that there are so many books out there, but this book has now become a constant and trusted reference for me. I’ve even asked my colleagues to read chapters as it clearly describes situations they need to not to fall into, but have done in the past (especially with negotiations). The Journey that the book takes you on is logical, concise and describes all key points needed. It is an easy read. I find that this book is not only for people like me (who consider themselves established in the grocery market), but also for anyone who wants to step up into a national account manager/category manager role. This book helps immensely and i recommend it.

    This book really is a must read, not only for you but the team that are dealing with the major multiples. Clear, straightforward information that is presented in an easy to use book. Relevant links for further information, training and critically who to turn to for help. However, it is up to us in the trade to ensure that we are as well informed as our retail colleagues. Well done Darren, just the sort of book I've been looking for.
