"The Hortan Mountain Range was on the whole a frigid, barren place. Jane’s journey would take her out of the way of any villages until she reached her destination, and there were only two villages nestled in the shadow of the mountain, Drecca and Hall. Both were terrorized regularly by a monster known as the Dragon Raider. There were dozens of knights that lived in each of the villages, but none of them were properly trained. That’s why Jane needed to go, I was continually reminding myself. She would be able to offer hope to the people there, and she would take care of the Raider so that they would never have to fear him again." ~from The Battle
