First walked in the 9th century, El Camino allowed Christians to make their way to the holy city of Santiago de Compostela. In its day, the pilgrimage was both a form of recreation and a renewal of faith. Today's pilgrims adopt a similar philosophy with every Peregrino carrying his or her own motive to undertake the challenge. The hiker can uniquely escape the modern world and enter an environment fresh to the elements where engaging conversation and contemplation rules each day.
Christopher embarks upon his own voyage through Galicia's Eucalyptus and Chestnut forests. He shares the adventure with an endearing group of apostles. Despite his clumsy communication he finds an understanding both with his companions and the Spanish culture, providing an amusing backdrop. We meet the mysterious Anna who Christopher recognizes as a kindred spirit. And yet bit by bit, we find that his own search is in crisis and that the unique healing of Camino is much in need.
