Lord Fairfax once owned a successful Safari Park’, which now, in the wake animal disease, is to close. All of his livestock, plus wild beasts, will have to be destroyed––he cannot sell, move nor afford to feed the animals. The only help the authorities have given him is a licence to kill. Out of desperation and a love of the old times––colonial Africa, India and the Raj––he decides to have a Last Safari, to relive the good old days, and give the animals a ‘noble end’. But who, in this enlightened age, would actually want to shoot a lion, tiger, rhino, elephant etc.? Among Lord Fairfax’ friends and associates there are more than enough takers. But what is the ‘Masonic’ connection? And where are the gazelle? And why is there a contract out to kill one of the party? These questions and more will be answered as the week-end safari turns into a living nightmare, when a ‘hit-man’ and an extremist ‘animal rights’ cell determined to let loose the animals onto the unsuspecting would-be hunters, cross paths.
