"move over gordon ramsey" I was given this book recently as I love biographies but I have to say the recipes are out of this world, absolutely inspired! Like the man himself, original, quirky and fun, I've tried most of them to my friends' utter delight and serve each with a story from the book. More please!

"my hero" I never write reviews but I had to say this is the funniest, most fascinating autobiography, I have it in my kitchen and I invite friends round for name dropper parties. Great.

"Name Dropper's Cookbook - Hugh Millais" A cut above other cookery books as it is but more than this, Name Dropper's is a memoir by one of the most interesting characters you've never heard of. He literally knew everyone, simply by getting into scrapes, partying, gallavanting, Millais managed to turn his heritage into more than a meal ticket, he turned the good life into a profession. The stories are fascinating, not only by virtue of the famous faces and hijinks but by Millais' talent for storytelling, verse, self-deprecation and drama. If only all of us could live this well and tell the tale.
