Taste the Textures divulges the mystery of human male sensuality in poetic form. This gift quality paperback of free-form poetry reflects images of the male mind as it contemplates sensual, romantic, and erotic versions of love from a respectful, non-vulgar perspective. The author draws both male and female readers into deeply personal, romantic thoughts through poetic imagery. Bravestone's texture-manipulated photo-art of male and female nudes helps illumine healthy male sensual awareness and exhibits the impressiveness of human forms. This book is a unique fusion of poetry and fine art.

Mar 13, 2010Ian Bravestone's book is not only tastefully erotic, but stunning: various poetry describes the longing of men, the beauty of bodies and their coupling, and the exquisite details of sex. Bravestone himself is a conservative Christian, so all the poetry and the pictures honor sex as the gift from God that it is; nothing gratitious, homosexual, or tasteless is ever shown. The poetry and pictures are honest and completely sexually revelatory without ever hinting at pornography. The pictures, while showing naked couples in often explicit positions, do not ever show actual sex taking place and are often shaded and glazed by what appears to be a glass-like substance (so no body parts are shown in too much detail). All the photos are black and white, with gorgeous couples draped and entwined with each other in a silent love dance. This book had an effect for me that was a little similar to the one "Planet Earth" had: they both gave the sense of gazing on something Divine and... More > sacred, presented in a flawless manner. If you are not at all prudish or offended by naked art and/or sexual poetry, I highly recommend this piece to you!< Less
