I wanted to write a few love poems. Eco-feminismist love poems. Modern love poems. With an eye towards Ezra Pound’s famous injunction, ‘Make It New!,’ I attempt to move past the current period of poetry and blend forms and styles, and reject forms and styles, while exploring new themes in what I hope will be anti-post-modernity. Nature and feminism runs through the lines peppered with ideas from the world of faith. In the end, it for my wife, to speak to her, to tell her that I love her, to help her understand me and my dreams for us. A gift on our wedding day.
