In the fall of 2012, the Nets moved to the newly-built Barclays Center in downtown Brooklyn, signaling the end of their tenure as New York's "little brother" NBA team. This book traces the history of the Nets from their humble beginnings as the New Jersey Americans, through their ABA championships with Julius "Dr. J" Erving, to the present day. The Nets' emergence as an Eastern Conference power in the 2012-13 season is covered in detail. Illustrations include 19 original line drawings and 6 photographs.
