To be honest, I wasn't really sure that I wanted to read a book about the promotion of Interlingua over the last 50 years : the idea of reading through lists of conferences and presenters didn't strike me as particularly interesting, but since this is one of the very few Interlingua books available in print in the United States, I went ahead and gave it a try. Although in one sense this book was exactly what I expected -- i.e. primarily a chronological exposition of conferences and the personages involved -- it was, much to my surprise, extremely well-written and engaging. The author did an excellent job bringing the people and events to life, with a narrative-type style that made this book actually fun to read. In short, I enjoyed this book tremendously and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in Interlingua.
