In 2011 the International Rainwater Harvesting Alliance (IRHA) and Photojournale held a competition for photographs that best showed the benefits and practical uses of rainwater harvesting.

A proportion of the money made on the calendar (all the money received by the IRHA) will go towards one of the IRHA's Blue Schools projects, providing clean drinking water to children in developing countries.
