I found this book of literary wonder captured me from word one till the end. The author has such talent & can make you feel like sadly many books authors lack these days. To describe to much will be an injustice for you must go in with your own mind & heart open. You'll not be sorry you picked this one up & will find yourself demanding more

Hello Ivor, Thank you very much for the book, I've just finished reading it. I liked it, finding it so amusing! The dyslexic spelling and grammar mistakes endear the book to me, enhancing the reading. Occasionally I didn't catch the jokes in the verses, however, they led to my own private understandings which were humorous in their own right! Your short stories were brief, to the point and true to life, in fact, bigger than life. I read it over two sessions between practicing the clarinet, during my rest breaks. Top marks. an excellent read! Thanks again, B.

For the life of me I cannot remember the exact words I said in the Co-op, but they must have meant something to you. And Ivor, do tell where you can buy your book, and put a price sticker on too. A review of ‘The Buffoon Designs Book of Mostly Comic Verse’, by Ivor Minard. Just suppose that you, the reader, were in town and had decided to go into that modern art gallery to be confronted with pictures and objects which suddenly made you think. Immediate thoughts were to either to leave or condemn but then you`ve paid to enter, so why not think deeper, what does the artist mean with his shapes and colours. You will soon see things in your mind.....or perhaps you never will. So it is with Ivor Minard’s short but observant poems and stories. One has to think about them. There is space on each page for kiddies to draw their thoughts on. Having read his... More > little book I had to think about some, but others were really funny and observant. Ivor is a good artist himself and the works that I have seen are reflected in his poetry. The `` Priestly Pidgeon` and `Ace Bore`, we`ve all been there, but compare these to the` Parachute Jump` we haven`t all done that. I think Ivor was writing that on the way down.! However, he landed the right way up and wrote this entertaining, funny and thought provoking book. He has purposely misspelt some words so that you yourself will feel better having spotted them. [I shouldn`t have told you that, but then I know Ivor wouldn`t mind.] It is a good little book with a very reasonable price tag and the reader will feel all the better for it.
