The US book review: "This is a smart, sexy, international intrigue that raises questions and sheds light on many issues of this part of the world." Todays Zaman:"A political tale of scandal and intrigue, Sabral exposes the sordid underbelly of Western policy in a fast-paced novel aimed at questioning the value of and motivations behind Western interference in the Middle East." Lawal Hussein, reader from Gusau, Nigeria:"A Great Book. Your book, Changing Borders, made quite interesting reading. Though a work of fiction, its theme is no doubt what's widely believed to be true. That is, the US has made a plan and mapped out a strategy for creating a new middle east in which Iran would be weaker and other states fragmented along tribal and ethnic lines. I must congratulate you for a great work."
Changing Borders is about a British/American political news reporter, Kate Roberts. Kate works for an Iranian news channel reporting news from Turkey. She receives a mysterious email regarding the future of the Middle East. Plots thicken and twists and turns take place... this quick and easy read is not only riveting, sexy and fun but also gives an education of Middle Eastern politics. I couldn't put it down! I am looking forward to the next novel by this great new author!
If you are interested in Middle-Eastern current affairs, journalism, Turkish culture, history and conspiracy, but partial to suspense, humour and a sprinkling of romance then this novel hits the target like a laser guided bomb. Sabral's complex, intelligent, informative and intriguing novel is clearly formulated from a unique perspective directly carved from personal experience. As a reader your imagination is led in such a way at times that you are helplessly thrusted into Istanbul and the next minute staring at the moonlit sky shining on the Bosphorus. On reading the book you really get to know the main character 'Kate' her hectic work, personal life, mission and quirky personal routines. I loved the story, fact or fiction, 'Changing Borders' draws you in and leaves you wanting more. I tend to not pay much attention to reviews or let them sway my thinking when deciding to buy a book. However, all I can say is that for all the bad books we end up reading, its nice to find a gem now... More > and again that re-affirms your love for good novels that pick you up, engage you and take you far away.< Less
