"The Genuine Imitation" The Genuine Imitation is an absolutely fascinating read I found difficult to put down once I started reading it. Everyone can relate to something that happens in this book. Even the lucky few of us who grew up in stable, loving families can latch onto something here and find inspiration to forgive those in our past who have caused us pain and to find the courage to forge ahead and create our own meaningful future. Perhaps what I found most intriguing was simply putting myself in Micky’s shoes and imagining what in the world I might have done in her seemingly never ending series of jaw dropping life circumstances. I’m not sure I would have survived, but I did learn a thing or two from Micky’s strength. I hope you do too.
