Lots of fun and easy to learn, the short rules set is a quick read and simple to digest. I don't want to spoil the fun with the solos, so I'll just say watch yourself or you just might end up being lunch. Great fun and definitely worth the price of admission.
"Excellent product for the price" The rules for these 2 solo adventures are fairly simple, and that is a good thing. Using the DARO (Doubles Add and Roll Over) rule, optional multiple zombies for random encounters (in case you REALLY want a challenge), spite damage, and karma points which you can accrue and (hopefully) use judiciously, there are a number of "random factors" that keep the game interesting. I found myself rolling for multiple zombies when it wasn't required (you normally only have to fight one) once I had a shotgun and several karma points, as this is a quick way to increase your XP (eXperience Points - you get 150 of them for each random zombie you eliminate; they come in several varieties...) and generally get more karma points (you could also end up depleting them in combat), and almost ended up joining the undead due to the spite damage factor. So a word to the wise: no showboating! Had a heck of a time finding ANY guns or a passkey, but then... More > really kicked myself when I did. There are a few places to find guns, and they are of course much more effective than being unarmed or using melee weapons. And don't forget: aim for the head! I just finished solo one, which is a lead-in to solo 2 (or you can start with solo 2), and the story line is basic but fun, and of course there are several unanswered questions, which in theory I'll get answered in solo 2. I am very hopeful we'll see more from this author. This double solo is a real gem.< Less
