An eclectic collection of cleverly and lovingly written prose. The reader can relate to every piece, and raw emotion oozes from the page. Mr. Piatt takes you from laughter, to thoughtful contemplation, to heartache and back again. I cannot wait to see what else this emerging talent has in store!

This book, which could be an instant masterpiece, has become one of my most beloved classics. This should be translated into multiple languages and sold around the world. It seems this book is already a part of me. If there is a man or woman who can read this book without a quiet acceptance of a great man's poetry and a singing in the heart as of music born within, that man or woman is indeed dead to life and truth.

Kahil Gibran wrote, "Poetry is a deal of joy and pain and wonder, with a dash of the dictionary". Ironically, not a very poetic quote from a very poetic man, but nonetheless, that part about poetry being "a deal of joy and pain and wonder" speaks volumes about this first volume of wonderful poems by emerging poet, Jack Piatt. Jack's voice has that rare quality of experience and freshness, and in his words you find universal truth set to a mid-west rhythm and uttered by a deep and sensitive soul.
