Meet Jacki Eberstarker, a girl who grows up in Baltimore defying her police officer mother while clenching a Bionic Woman doll. Raised to be as powerless as a household object, she flounders through life falling into every trap along the way - disastrous relationships, alcohol abuse, and a debilitating fear of clowns. As she finds success in stand-up comedy, devastating truths emerge that nearly destroy her. SASS MOUTH is a story about taking responsibility, blasting through a faulty foundation, and proving that, ultimately, happiness is the best revenge.

Jacki’s ‘Destiny is a joke’ grabs a hold of you and takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions; one moment I was giggling so hard the entire bed was shaking, the next page made me cringe followed by the feeling I had to cry. As a woman, I can relate to how important it is to be loved by the closest person in your life, your very own mom. But Jacki’s police officer of mother demonstrated over and again her lack of compassion for her daughter. If there were an opportunity to throw Jacki under the bus and put her down, her mom took it- with joy! Jacki’s dysfunctional childhood fostered an even more dysfunctional life as a teenager. Her burning desire to be accepted and loved caused her to make a series of bad decision including disturbing romances with boys, and even old men! I could tell Jacki poured her heart into this book. She reveals the darkest of secrets, secrets you wouldn’t even share with your best friends. What makes this book digestible and believe it or not, A TRULY ENJOYABLE... More > READ, is her razor sharp wit which is all over the book; she is a comedian after all. Only one warning, it might keep you awake at night.< Less
