"Mimesis" Personally, I find the artwork especially stunning.. ;} I'll not mention the name Sarah Hayes. On a more serious note--Mimesis is everything every reviewer has said so far and more. The styles and content of the poems vary and satisfies a wide range of readers; I found something different to like, or even love from every contributer. While it won't exactly be resting under my pillow every night as I fall asleep, my copy of Mimesis 1 will definately be thumbed through often!
"Mimesis" Mimesis is a great journal, I shall be subscribing for every issue! Great to see up-and-coming writers alongside some more established ones. Well done, James Midgely and Co.
"a breakthrough" Mimesis proves that modern poetry is not dry and boring. In fact, this new journal of art and writing invites the reader in for a cup of tea, lets him sit and taste the stories that these poets and artists have to offer. There is a fantastic array of new, young talent here. Certainly worth a gander.
