This is the story of four adventurers on their way to the top of the Mighty Mountain, a mountain 1000 miles high. On their way, they come to the small town of Verndorf to find that the town's symbol of their faith, the Heartstone, has been stolen by bandits. They set out to retrieve the stone, but soon learn that it is not going to be an easy task.

"Heartstone: A Good Beginning" I want to thank Jim Aubuchon for this simple story. It has the flavor of an adventure tale, probably targeted at the same age group as the Goosebumps stories, but also combines interesting twists with spiritual truths. I enjoyed reading it. It is a brief tale, but it is set as the beginning of a longer story, with sequels to follow. The price is good for this, and I anticipate following the stories as they appear. There is some combat, but the story is far more about the struggles and thoughts of the characters within themselves than about the difficulties they encounter.
