I found myself really drawn into and along this story. The very everyday, but well described, details of the characters' lives takes a controversial social issue and transforms it into a series of interconnected, personal choices. It covers the complexity of various viewpoints from very individual perspectives, instead of abstract ideologies.
I just finished reading Without Ceremony, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was hooked from the first page, and found myself staying up late to read "just one more chapter". The family dynamics described were very true to life in my opinion.
