Jason Farr is the host of a popular Hamilton Ontario morning radio program called the Legendary Morning Show. The show, heard weekday mornings from 5:30a.m. to 9a.m., is on 820 CHAM, the Legend. This book is a true account of Jason's latest radio stunt. On January 27th, 2006, Jason and his on-air colleagues, Mike Nabuurs and Tom Park, along with Spectator writer Lesley Simpson spent 48 hours in the original Tim Hortons Donut Shop (Store #1) on Ottawa Street in Hamilton's east end. The event was dubbed the Battle of the Books. Each writer went in with the goal of coming out with their own great Canadian novel. Jason, who grew up in the neighborhood, humorously tells of how the Battle began, and shares his memories related to the Battlegrounds of Store #1. All sales of this book and two of three others, will help build a Library at Camp Maple Leaf.
