LIVE BRAVE: A Tribute To Laura Middleton

LIVE BRAVE: A Tribute To Laura Middleton features the memorial tribute that I wrote for Laura—my steadfast friend of 35 years and my partner for the last 3½ years of her life—on April 1, 2018, Easter Sunday. I titled the tribute “Live Brave” and started writing at the stroke of midnight. I wrote till the sun came up. The book, which includes additional commentary and photos, also serves as a threshold to another tribute to Laura that I hope to create—a building: an architectural monument. I've given it a name: LIVE B.R.A.V.E. | The Middleton Memorial. I envision this memorial as an artistic expression of my love for Laura—and her love for me: our love story—and a tribute to star-crossed lovers throughout space and time. I foresee this memorial speaking to everyone, from Laura’s friends and family to strangers down through the ages. A poetic reminder in concrete, steel, and stone—space and light—to follow Laura’s shining-star example and Live Brave. Love Brave.
