Reid D Hanson, of SportDFW.com reviewed "Mediocrity in Dallas, Jerry Jones Cowboys" on February 3, 2014: The author tells the story of Jerry Jones impact and responsibility for the Dallas Cowboys. Not in the typical and pandering fashion of so many detractors, Jeff Stevenson actually gives Jerry Jones credit where credit is due. This book takes readers on a trip back in history to a successful time long ago and almost forgotten. It follows the metamorphosis of Jerry Jones from brash businessman to the arrogant and stubborn control freak. Stevenson has collected many different accounts of the Dallas Cowboys over the Jerry Jones era. He has pulled from multiple sources, stories, and recollections and he combines them all in a neat and tidy story line. It is clean, concise and accurate. “Mediocrity In Dallas, Jerry Jones Cowboys” is an analytical look at the organization and specifically Jones failures as the GM in the draft, highlighting the bright spots with Jimmy Johnson and... More > Bill Parcells, as well as the low points with Gailey, Campo and Garrett. The reader will be reminded, entertained, educated and focused. If you are like me you will find yourself repeating “Just Fix It Jerry!”. Reid D. Hanson, SportDFW.com< Less
