In the last 25 or so years, nearly every calendar-type system has been used by me and my family. I have used hand-held electronic calendars and I have bought more paper calendars than I can remember. Now comes along Google. There are many no-charge tools available from this online resource. Once I read Jeff's "Google'lize Your Life," I now know more than I ever thought about just how much Google has to offer. Why not use great tools like these with my team? I coach other speakers, authors and performers who often resist the idea of planning tools. Most of these objections are about money. In Jeff's book, I can now suggest a system that works and is wallet-friendly. Do yourself a favor and pick up this book. It will change the way you look at how you manage your life-tasks.

A collection of informed advice that really does help budding business owners (me being one of them) to organise time and modern technology efficiently. 1. It's helped me save mountains of time - on a daily basis too! 2. It's helped me understand how to use google tools to my advantage 3. It's an easy read and will definitely help anybody who feels there seems to be not enough hours in the day. Definitely well worth the purchase, I recommend you buy this, you won't regret it... I don't!

“Google'lize Your Life” is a new book which dissects Google and makes it an indispensable part of your electronic life. Google’s usefulness extends way beyond being a search engine and email provider. Jeff VanDrimmelen delves into the little known applications which are available through Google. Some Google options worth checking out are Google Voice, Google Reader and Google Wave. With Google Voice, you can set up your text messages to be sent to your Google email account or have your voicemail messages translated to text and then check it on your mobile device. Google Reader helps you keep track of new content on your favorite websites. Then it allows you to share it with others. Google Wave is also referred to in the book. This app is a live, shared website in where groups can work together text, photos and videos. I plan on using many of the author’s suggestions both on my computer and my iPhone.

This is a collection of hints, tips and advice on how to get your life organized using Google. I read the entire book and was able to implement several of the apps in my daily routine. I benefited from this book by becoming more organized with my Google e-mail. Chapter 4 (Tools – E-mail Productivity) explains the reasons that Jeff VanDrimmelen likes Google, what to expect in regards to Google e-mail functionality and how to handle your inbox. The best tips in the e-mail chapter were how to whittle your inbox down to zero messages and how to use canned responses and multiple signatures (perfect for entrepreneurs with several businesses). Overall, I recommend this book as a quick read and reference guide to mastering Google for personal productivity.

I purchased Google'lize Your Life because I started using a Blackberry. I had been using Google for email and wanted to take full advantage of both my Blackberry’s and Google’s features. This is a blueprint of how to move over to the modern/electronic age using Google. This book was extremely helpful in that I could read the chapters out of order, according to which Google topic I wanted to start learning. My favorite parts were: Chapter 1 – Technology and Productivity – This chapter includes an explanation of the Traditional vs. Modern factory worker. Jeff VanDrimmelen used a factory worker to demonstrate the monetary and non-monetary advantages of staying connected as opposed to not staying connected. The modern worker is more productive in several ways which are life changing. and Chapter 8 – ‘Google’ized tools – This section consists of tips for keeping notes and actually working while on the go. Since I am a writer, I will be using these tools in places where I normally wouldn’t... More > be able to work.< Less
