Jen Miller’s Billy Bones is a delightful read, a cross between Doc Hollywood and Erin Brockovich meet The American President. Miller spins a story that holds and builds interest through a cast of characters, real & flawed, while involved in life, thatare believable, right down to Woonsocket, a dog, our protagonist-ex-President-Of-The-U.S. of A.-Morgan Ulysses Crane, found in the road who instantly owned him. The dialogue is crisp and intelligent, right down to Woonsocket and a big bear’s inner dialogue, that endear animal loves, as myself, to the story even more. Miller pulls classic literature and Americana music into the story line to create a nostalgia for those of us around to appreciate the innuendo. This Walden like story delivers and when I got to the last three chapters, I counted the pages to the end, sorry there were so few left. I loved this story. Kudos to Jen Miller.
