The poetry that you will find in this book shows the heart and soul of a woman deeply involved her family and heritage, showing pride in who she is and where she comes from. A fine example of African American art and expression.

I just finished reading the passages from this book. They were great so often when people write poetry and they use every word in their trusty thesarus. This poetry was an easy read I could relate to it .The intro was great the author brought me into her world. I loved the pictures too. I will be purchasing this book soon
