The story begins with the character returning to the motherland, to be specific Zimbabwe after being stranded with a different reality in Australia. Not much has changed, the roles of men and women have not progressed in comparison to the west. Life is at a much slow pace, the author literary descends as if it were on a society that remains the same...Even though with the different forms of stagnation that marks the status quo, the character feels home and is ready to explore and familiarize herself with her new environment.
