Catherine is living the life of a Park Avenue princess. She attends fairytale balls, wears the most fabulous clothes and probably even has a tiara somewhere in her antique jewelry box. As perfect as her life may seem from the outside, she doesn’t see any happily ever after in her future.
In reality, Catherine faces an almost unbearable struggle with a severe anxiety disorder and has to deal with having a father who walked out on her family just a few years back. But just as Catherine’s life continues to crumble, she finds that the most unexpected source might just be able to save her.

Jan 7, 2011Catherine is not who we expect her to be. On the surface she is an over privileged, New York socialite, who is disconnected from the "real world." But as we get to know her, we learn that there is much to her than what a quick glimpse might reveal. While it is true that she is used to the fine restaurants, expensive clothing, and materialism of a privileged upbringing, it is also clear that is much more conscious of her own life than it might appear--and her life is not as perfect either. The is a novel about character, understanding yourself, and trying to find other souls with which to connect in life. Litteral has an incredible talent for creating characters and she does so in this novella with candor, sensitivity, and restraint.
