"Reflections of Nature shimmer" Jennifer takes nature and turns it into the metaphysical in this volume of poetry. "Web of Life" is an excellent example of this. It is a metaphor for how we all live our lives, who we belong to, and what we are here for. The writing calls out to you, asking you - who are you?

"AN IMPRESSIVE COLLECTION from a prolific poet + much more!" This is another one of Jennifers books that is well worth every penny that it is selling for + more. I will put it on my MUST BUY list and order it with one of my orders of my books of poetry + my NEW 2005 calenders (which I will be doing SOON). Thanks for the review of 'HEART + SOUL', JENN. I am off to the store with it tomorrow. I am Glad that you liked it. I am in awe of your poetic talent and your rate of productivity. I write (at least) one new poem (or more) a day so I am hoping to have more books of poetry (in a different style then yours) published SOON! Your book also has a VERY BEAUTIFUL cover. Let me know who did it when you have the time! I LOVE your stuff! Peace + Love. Earl.

"Echoes of the Canyon (* * *1/2 out of * * * *)" I'm really not one for prose poetry, but every so often I'll come across a writer who makes it work. Ms. Stires is one of the few. The imagery here is redolent of the American landscape and the Native American perspective is a refreshing change from the dead white guys I read so often. An impressive collection through and through. [3.5/4]
