Right on Mr.DePinto! You brought back many memories good and bad, but this story needed to be told. Growing up in the 60's was an incredible time and this is an incredible book. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!

I found this book to be not only entertaining, but educational as well. I think it would make a great movie. Truth is stranger than fiction and this story proves it. I highly recommend as a gift for a male as most books are written for females.

Ride the Serpent carried me right along. Jerry DePinto is a lively, funny narrative storyteller, capturing the vitality, curiosity, and adventure of adolescence during an historic, tumultuous time of our nation, with drugs, sex, social and political riots, and the murders of John and Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. He gives us an insightful, humorous glimpse of daily discovery and drama of his generation while adults were trying to make sense and maintain some stability in a teetering world.
