In just a few short decades, the black community in America has become a place where; seven (7) out of ten (10)children are born into single parent families, thousands of young black men are murdered on an annual basis by members of their own race, and tens of thousands languish in prisons and jails. Estimates are that possibly hundreds of thousands have been infected with HIV/AIDS, and marriage of young black men and women has become the exception to the rule.
Three decades of experience in social work, agency administration, politics, community college instruction and Christian Education has given the author, Jerry Groce, a unique perspective on the social problems which are having such a devastating impact on the Black Community in America.
The author makes the case that only a return to true, non-hypocritical spiritual values will allow us to develop realistic, effective and common sense solutions to the challenges we face.
