Years Of Refusal is a book of poetry about the world we live in, the truth seen through the authors eyes. This is the first poetry book written by the author, the sample of the book has gotten rave reviews from writing sites such as Writing.com and Lit.org Reviewed by: Jason Scott of (Jasonlscott.com) Jesse charts new territory with this book of poetry. His words are like knives into the heart of what America is. He is unafraid to reveal the truth His perspective is fresh, passionate, and full of fire. This is some of the most stunning poetry that I've ever read. Its fresh, unapologetic and in your face, as all great poetry should be. It is a scathing, unflinching indictment of society, which is a clarion call for the damned that we call the human race. Open your eyes to the world around you. This is a book for the proletariat, for the rabble, for the fabled "huddled masses yearning to breathe free". This book is our battle flag, a call to war against social injustice. Five stars (deserves ten!).

I just stumbled onto this book by accident and I’m glad I did. It’s been awhile since I read something so dark yet powerful, it’s not over dramatic, it just strikes at the core of life. And I was very touched and moved how the author just bared his soul at the start, just very powerful stuff. I would highly recommend this book, I can’t wait to see more of his work to come.

I was pleasantly surprised by this little book of poetry. The words simply and effectively point out the defects of our modern society and the hollowness of many of the things we put our faith in. Despite this, it isn’t depressing, because the words are beautiful. They stimulate contemplation and renunciation - a loosening of our attachment to this life - and perhaps encourage you to unsubscribe from futility.
