"Life is full of joy from hardship. Life is full of paradoxes."
When Jessica Jondle was diagnosed with cystinosis in 1983, doctors gave her ten years to live. Her stubborn insistence that she would not only live, but THRIVE—evidenced by her desire to go roller skating despite the shadowy, washed-out appearance of her bones on x-rays—has led her to survive to see age thirty. In this uplifting and true tale of Jessica’s transformative experiences with an illness that impacts every cell of her body, she explores her life-long journey and expresses her deeply held conviction that miracles exist.
The impossible is, in fact, possible.
This is the story of someone who chooses to live each day with gratitude. This book serves as a reminder that we are so much more than our circumstances. Each day, each one of us has the choice to embrace life with eyes wide open. Excellent and uplifting book!
I second that I could not put the book down. The book is written with such creativity & transparency that you can't help but be inspired by Jessica's story. Her tenacity & faith are amazing. Sharing her story has blessed me as I am sure it will bless many. Thank you Jessica.
Beautiful prose, framed wonderfully by life lived with drive and conviction. The triumphs over hardships strike with just the right hint of imperfection that resonates with everyone’s life. I was inspired to rise each day, and live in my life as it is now; not to squander my time pondering that which was not nor is nor is to be. Rather, I am challenged by the author to see the beauty and joy in all that happens in my life, and the life of those around me.
Loved this book from start to finish! What more can I say other than it is an amazing read and everyone should get a copy, it's certainly altered my perspective on life! XxX
I couldn’t put the book down. It is beautifully written and very moving. Anyone, no matter their circumstances, can relate to the paradoxes of life woven throughout. This book is a treasure for the heart and soul.
