"A thought provoking read " After reading this book I found myself asking the question... what would a book about my life be like? Would I have made similar decisions? Would I have made similar sacrifices? I found this book to be something of a revelation to me. Brian was a public figure in Ireland for many years and I had been interested in his books. But I had no idea that his whole life since he was a young boy reflected a desire to reach the highest principles. He gave up a substantial inheritance in order to lead a life that valued freedom more than money. He went to prison rather than see someone be abused. He gave up his celebrity status as an Irish writer when, extraordinarily, he began to convey to others a completely unique and developing understanding about leading a spiritual life. This book confirmed for me that Brian was a "true blue". Brian's life stands up to the closest scrutiny and I believe he attained a goal that few people have reached before....
