He's honest with us, with himself and with the process of faith and understanding he goes through in this, his marvelous first book. "Shift Into Gear" is a simple, step-by-step guide to the real world of developing and practicing faith. It's meant to keep in your pocket (metaphorically) and refer to. It has answers to questions we all have, and has such a disarming and subtle intelligence to it, we're hardly aware of how much the book is teaching us until we put it down refreshed and reinvigorated in our quest to be good people. I heartily recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It's an easy read.
