I immensely enjoyed this book and highly recommend it! Let me start by saying that I first bought the pdf because I was a big fan of that awesome webcomic and I was interested in finding out what would happen next. I initially thought 30 bucks was a little too pricey for a paperback, but I liked the author's work and wanted to support her in some way. So there I was, reading through my pdf, growing increasingly surprised with where the story was taking me, and steadily falling in love with the characters, the setting, and the events of the story. By the time I reached the halfway point I was enthralled. "Keep going this way and I'll have to buy a hard copy," I said to myself. The story obliged and I finished it in awe. F****** yes! I enjoyed myself so much! Thank you, Jisuk! I loved the characters. Loved the story. Loved the slice of life way you told it. It was so much fun. It made me laugh. Nearly made me cry. PLEASE for the love of all that is holy make the sequel just as... More > awesome. (I'm sure you will. You're awesome, yourself.) As a side note, I hope the sequel'll be the last Fishbones installment, as I don't think the story would support a large series without losing some of its energy. But, whatever. That's totally up to Jisuk and I'm sure I'll enjoy whatever she does with Fishbones. I just loved this book so much that I promptly went out and bought the paperback. If my job situation wasn't so uncertain I would have bought hardcover. I am so surprised at how much I love this book. I wasn't expecting to, but I'm glad I bought it. Finishing the book also made me a little sad though. I'm longing to see some of these amazing scenes in the webcomic, though I know many of them are years away. The one thing that would have made my hard copy even better: a cast sheet in the beginning. I love Yuki's art in fishbones and I would've loved to see a little character list of black and white pictures; something akin to the cast page on the webcomic's website. Obviously that's not a big deal, but I think it would've been pretty great. All in all, thank you Jisuk for the awesome story, and thank you Yuki for the amazing art. Keep on being awesome.< Less

Very easy to read, hard to out down, Well developed characters & situations. I find that I can easily relate to many of the characters, situations & dialog in this book. Extremely well written; anxiously awaiting the sequel! If ever a book was a candidate for nationwide publishing and belonged in every library, this is the book! But of course I am a prejudiced reviewer . . . . I enjoy bagels with tomatoes slices and reading good book!
