Confessions of a Working Actor is a fascinating read - for any actor, OR non-actor. It highlights the commonalities of working artists all over the world, despite their being from completely different contexts. It emphasises the universal 'struggle' - the lows AND the highs, and is a thrilling, dynamic examination of the artist's life.

Disclaimer: I'm in this book and I'm a good friend of the author Jodi Nelson. Having said that, those who know me know I wouldn't give someting a good review if I didn't believe in it; I'd just not do anything. But Jodi is a top notch professional who isn't a star but who knows what it takes to "make it" as working actor. I made a great living as a working actor for over 30 years (don't believe me check out my IMdB)and now I train others to do what I did at East Tennessee State University and Jodi Nelson comes from the same working world that I come from. To be a working actor or producer or director or editor or location scout, you have to approach this as a business. Yes this is an art form but it is called Show Business not Show Art and so if you want to have a career in this business then put on your MBA hat and start letting Jodi help you with this book. Good Luck
