A wonderful treasury of 257 letters between John Oliver Boizard and his wife Eleanor during the years of 1855-1870. The letters are rich with historical references: Seminole Indian War, Fort Myers, Fort McRae, Nebraska Territory, Civil War, General Grant, Assassination of Lincoln, Chicago fires, Glen Arbor Michigan and the cost of everyday items in the mid 1800's.
