"The Journey" I was skeptical about another book that used the "life is a journey" material, but after reading this book and seeing the Joseph Campbell interview with Bill Moyers, I have to say I'm a convert. I loved the section in all of the biographies called "apotheosis" as this seemed to be the moment where each of them began to understand their fame as carrying a responsibility to also give something back to the world. At a conference I was at the other day the author (Joe Guse) had us do an exercise where we charted our own Hero's Journey, and I have to say I left with much deeper insight into some of my own behavior. Great book!!

"Joe Guse" I saw this guy present a piece on Joesph Campbell the other day, and I have to say I was highly impressed. the Hero's Journey is truly a redemptive way of thinking about life, and I came away from this conference very empowered from hearing about this powerful idea. As a cancer survivor I was especially impressed by the Lance Armstrong section, as cancer ended up being the thing that helped him truly find his "bliss" in life and ultimately change the world with the lance Armstrong foundation.

"The Journey" Reading Joseph Campbell changed my life, and I'm always thrilled to read anything that incorporates his work. This is a cool book and an interesting way to conceptualize the Hero's Journey. For anyone needing an introduction to the very powerful philosopher Joseph Campbell truly is, this book would be a great place to start.

"Monomyth" Put me in the club that loves Joseph Campbell, this guy was a true original. I really liked this book, as it breaks down how the Monomyth might work for your average asshole as opposed to just in literature or the movies. We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. Joseph Campbell

"Oprah" I just watched an Oprah Winfrey special last night that talked about a lot of the things in her life that are also in this book. The way the author designed this book tells the story in a truly interesting way that I have to admit I've never really seen before. I love how a person's failures can end up being such an integral part of their story, as this is also certainly true in my life.
