A phantom haunts Pacific Coast Highway—the spirit of a dead World War Two Japanese American soldier desperately trying to find his way to Manzanar where his former finance was once interred. Ten years earlier, fanatics have unleashed an Oklahoma-style bombing in Washington DC in retaliation for the internment of Japanese Americans during WW2, and the man framed for the act, unbeknownst to him, is tied to this mysterious specter. Now Trevor Langley must uncover the identity of the dead soldier and the only way to do that is to make contact with his spirit out on the desolate stretches of Pacific Coast Highway. Will Trevor reach him in time to stop the execution of an innocent man?

"Ghost story" The beginning really sucks you into the story. That's cool. Some suggestions: -Never use bold, never. Just don't do it. Ok? Bold is never used in novels or any fiction work. Use italics instead, sparingly. -"Like the one I'm about to relate" (page 2)don't use any of the folliwing: I'm about to.... I'm going to... When you are narrating. Characters saying that in dialouge is ok. -Don't put words in the reader's mouth (page 3) -Prologues should be an important event that happens before the story, not a background explanation. Less talky, more showy. -Assounances are good....in poems. Try not to use too many descriptive words that start with the same letter in one sentance. It confuses the reader. - ( ) are ok, just use sparingly (not on every page) - (page 5) should be "Given to her" not "Given her" :) - some commas are out of place, and not neccasary - ?! that is incorrect. Use either ? or ! not both -Research 1940's... More > slang. Sorry if I'm being to strict or whatever, I'm just trying to help :)< Less
